The winter's go-to pattern? Tartan!

Tartan is back with a bang.

Scottish style is making a comeback for Fall Winter 2019, it’s undeniable. Tartan was the undisputed star of the 80s and 90s on skirts inspired by the Scottish kilt -complete with their distinctive pin. The kilt was the true queen of the closet at a time when the way we dressed embraced styles and influences from all over the world. The tartan skirt has become a true wardrobe staple, handed over from one generation to the next, a trend that re-emerges regularly and has taken on various incarnations: punk, preppy or grunge, depending on the place and the social setting.

Tartan was recently celebrated on the catwalk by the greatest fashion houses, each in their own way: Burberry with its renowned trench coats, Chanel with a celebration of wonderful outerwear pieces and as many pantsuits, while many younger designers dared with boxier lines and a variety of silhouettes.

Davide Cenci has followed suit, and to keep up with the times has chosen two among the most unique traditional tartan patterns, for skirts, jackets and pants, revamped with a modern and fresh twist: the Black Watch and the MacDougal are the “sett” of choice, inspired respectively by a British Army regiment and by a Scottish clan linked to the towns of Argyll and Lorn.

THE TRICK IS NOT BEING NECESSARILY COMMITTED TO A FORMAL SUIT, BUT BEING FREE TO MIX AND MATCH PATTERNS AND GARMENTS FOLLOWING OUR PERSONAL TASTE.

The Scottish Highlands seem to dominate this Fall, and it will be hard not to embrace this style, because, deep down, there is nothing wrong to indulge in some carefree shopping with our girlfriends, creating new, effortless combinations to define our truly unique and personal look.

The trick here is not being necessarily committed to a formal suit, but being free to mix and match patterns and garments following our personal taste, choosing what and how, being daring and showing our best possible side to the world. No shopping anxiety, then. Be free to experiment with jackets, pants and skirts in a variety of hues, cuts and styles.

This is how we make everybody happy.
