The deceiving appearance of shearling:
LIGHTER THAN A PUNCHING BAG
A Shearling coat is a timeless garment for both men’s and women’s fashion. Think about any vintage icon outfits, or the typical mountain looks of the ‘70s and the ‘80s, we’ve seen it so many times in the movies or in pictures of the Olympic Games and other winter sport events. This helps us retrace to the history of design, which never fails to keep the shearling items in the limelight.
Warm and cozy, shearling is also trendy: it has always been appreciated as a bearer of style. Nevertheless, people often think of it as heavy, bulky and extremely structured.
Davide Cenci has decided to overturn this perception; with the help of technology, we’ve been able to get a soft, 100% natural leather that weighs less than half of the traditional sheepskin.
We select higher quality skins, which are then tanned in a way that is able to preserve their softness and warmth: no cold day will ever be too much cold! The results are guaranteed both when the sheepskin is natural or dyed in darker colors, like black or navy blue.

Even with details like the hood and the waist drawstring, the coat is extremely light and flexible. Reversibility is what makes it unique: refined, shiny nappa-finished leather on one side, and sheared shearling fur for a sportier look on the other side.
The black coat contrasts magnificently with the white outfit by Dal 1926: the pincord jacket and the palazzo trousers with cuffs in stretch-cotton. To get a strong contrast and an optical effect, choose the silk, long-sleeved, round-necked blouse by Davide Cenci with black-&-white geometrical prints.
The zippered boots by Stuart Weitzman complete the look.
Winter is saved: still warm, but way lighter.
